Anti-Siphon Fitting
PVC, Schedule 40, use to stop back flow of water from upper ponds and waterfalls when the power is off. Come with slip fittings that can be glued (with PVC cement) to PVC pipe. A PVC bushing (not supplied) that is threaded inside and a slip fitting outside can be glued in both ends. This allows a barbed male adapter for tubing to be connected for use in flexible tubing. A fitting glued into the end reduces the pipe size.

Half-inch flow control and diverter. Two way valve connects to half-inch outlet from the pump. Main flow of water goes up through fitting, but an inside ball valve can be turned to divert some water to the side barbed fitting. The diverted water flows into the barbed adapter where 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch tubing can be connected. Use with PE 2F-PW pump, or any pump with a half-inch threaded outlet. To connect to PE 1F-PW or PE 2F-PW pumps, you must use an Adapter for Half-inch Pump Outlet to Quarter -inch Pump Outlet, FH-AD-42SM (this is a press on, non-threaded fitting).

Drill a hole large enough to slide fitting through side of pond, then tighten the nut down onto the gasket for a tight seal. Gasket goes on the waterside of the fitting connection. Size shown is for the inside threaded opening of the bulkhead (FPT). The actual size of the hole in the pond wall will be larger. If this fitting is to be used for a flexible liner, a flat plate must be installed to keep liner smooth where the nut contacts the liner.
