This allows units to buried in the ground, T5 style lamp is the highest quality UV lamp available featuring hard quartz glass, 3 inch diameter UV Body Diameter Maximizes water flow rate through the UV without diminishing UV dosage performance, Recommended pond size is based on end of bulb life (13 months) for accurate sizing (Other brands use the beginning life of the bulb to determine advertised capacity, making theirs sound better than they actually are).
